Did you know this about our humble lemon…
Lemons have been used for their medicinal properties for centuries, and their health benefits are well-documented. Many centuries ago, the ancient Egyptians would drink lemon juice to clear their bodies of toxins and poisons. Modern science tells us that the Egyptians were on to something – lemons have strong antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral properties. Science has further discovered that lemons are also good immune system boosters, help aid in digestion, and can help detoxify and purify the liver.
According to a study published in the International Journal of Food Microbiology, lemon oil may actually be the most powerful anti-microbial agent of all essential oils. There are over 500 scientific studies referring to lemon essential oils.
So I figured, why not share how amazing our little yellow fruity friend can be for our health. Here are just some of the many uses of lemon essential oil from A-Z:

A  –  Alkalize the body and support healthy liver functions: Add 2 drops to warm water in the morning.
B  –  Baby safe: 100% qualified safe for toddlers, babies ~ fever, cough, phlegm, flu.
C  –  Cellulite: massage to area to improve circulation and detox fat cells.
D  –  Detox: prevents cancer and diseases. It is the most powerful detox agent in the world; removes all hydrocarbons that are toxic and carcinogenic.
E  –  Energy booster: few drops of lemon & peppermint in water.
F  –  Fungus on nail: few drops on nail several times daily.
G  –  Glass cleaner: add to spray bottle with water to get rid of soap scums and water spots.
H  –  Hand sanitizer: Rub 1 drop on hands after public bathroom or wherever.
I  –  Immune support: support lymphatic drainage and help overcome cold fast (mix with V6 or any vegetable oil and rub
on neck). Or add 10 drops and dilute with massage oil for overall body massage.

N  –  Nourish the skin: lemon oil + baking soda + honey for an all-natural DIY face wash.
O  –  Odors: 1-2 drops in cotton ball (put in shoes, diaper pail, bottom of garbage bin, etc).
P  –  Post pregnancy/Slimming: 6 drops directly (dilute with vegetable oil if necessary) and rub over tummy morning & night. Loses baby belly drastically and quickly. Add a few drops to water and drink.
Q  –  Quench thirst: Make a quick lemonade using 2 drops + 2 tablespoons honey + 2 cups water.
R  –  Remove gunk: remove sticky residue from bandage, tape, labels; gum from hair; crayon from wall.
S  –  Sore throat: 2-3 drops in hot tea or warm water with honey.
T  –  Teeth whitening: 1 drop + baking soda + coconut oil and rub for 2 minutes.
U  –  Uplifting: diffuse through room / 1-2 drops into a pan of hot water to fill the house (kills airborne bacteria & virus).
V  –  Varicose Veins: massage equal parts lemon with peppermint and carrier oil in upwards motion.
W  –  Wood cleaner: few drops with olive oil makes non toxic wood cleaner or furniture polish.
X  –  Xfoliant: 1 drop with normal cleanser to promote healthy skin.
